So i've finished my first year at Uni. did some crazy risky projects in that year. it was all about experimenting! but it was fun. looking forward for the final year now! loads of work to do.

Summer holidays. while most would prefer going home or fly to some sunny tropical country, i decided to stay back and get some work experience. yep, i'm working at a graphic design company in london, with just a very basic pay. i could say it's almost like slave work, considering the fact that most of the money is spent on tubes and buses. Anyhoo experience is what matters and what goes on the CV.

Sri lanka in December, possibly. Fingers crossed

So it's September, and i've finished all my jobs. Yes JOBS. I have been working as a Junior Art Director at an Ad Agency called Lowe LDB, and a Graphic and Web Designer at this design studio called We Are Designers. Life has been pretty tiring doing two jobs, but at least i loved my work.

So now it's all over. Why? I'll be starting university. I'll be joining University for the Creative Arts (formerly Kent Institute of Art and Design) and will be entering the 2nd year of the BA Graphic Design Visual Communication course.

So what's all the frustration about. My university is in the UK, and being a lousy owner of a Sri Lankan passport i need a freaking visa. And this is a bit of a process. My fist application took 7 weeks to process, only to come out as a refused visa - which meant i had to reapply. I didn't, instead got some "influence" to get it done (always the case with sri lanka.. "with a little bit of influence, any thing is possible!") Hope things work out well and i get my bloody visas soon. They said 3 to 4 working days, so i'm having my fingers crossed.

I need to update my DevArt gallery.. it's too bloody old. So let me dig some stuff and put them up!
